David A. Clark, P.E. (Partner) 

David, a lifelong resident of Chatham, has built a noteworthy career in the surveying/engineering field. In 1993 he embarked on his professional journey as a field survey technician. A steady progression of gained knowledge and practical experience led to Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in 2001. In 2002, David along with Wendy created the partnership of Clark Engineering LLC.

David's educational accomplishments include a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from the prestigious Georgia Institute of Technology. Furthermore, he is officially registered as a soil evaluator with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

In addition to his professional achievements, David has actively contributed to the Long Range Planning Committee for the Town of Chatham, dedicating six years to shaping the future of the local community. Through his role as a representative for clients of Clark Engineering, he routinely engages with various town agencies and is skilled at presenting projects before the Conservation Commission, Board of Health, and Planning Board.

David's extensive experience and interactions with multiple stakeholders have honed his ability to navigate complex processes and effectively engage in discussions that contribute to the goals of our clients.

 

Wendy M. Jones (Managing Partner)

Wendy embarked on her successful tenure in the surveying/engineering field in 1986. After graduating from Chatham High School, Wendy continued her education in the Architectural Drafting program at Wentworth Institute of Technology. During the early stages of her professional journey, she specialized in designing spaces that were reimagined as condominiums. She expanded her industry skillset as a Survey Technician, steadily progressing to the role of a Senior Drafter/Project Manager. Wendy's expertise further developed as she represented clients and their projects in front of local Planning Boards and Conservation Commissions.

With the establishment of Clark Engineering LLC, it was agreed that she would assume responsibility for day-to-day business operations, thus elevating her to the position of Managing Partner. Wendy efficiently oversees all aspects of Clark Engineering LLC, ranging from personnel management and scheduling to financial administration.

In addition to her role as Managing Partner, Wendy serves as the Senior Draftsperson. Collaborating closely with a team of esteemed professionals including architects, attorneys, builders, and landscape designers, she orchestrates the intricate process of creating the plans required for obtaining permits from diverse regulatory boards for projects. Moreover, Wendy provides supervision to other draftspersons, emphasizing meticulous quality control for the final plans produced by the firm.

 

Sharon L. Huber (Office Manager)

Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Western New England College. After a lifetime of vacationing in Truro, Sharon left her career as a Group Life & Health insurance underwriter and moved here fulltime from Western Massachusetts in 1997. She then began her career in the surveying/engineering industry, culminating in her position with Clark Engineering LLC since its establishment in 2002.

In her multifaceted role, Sharon is responsible for the preparation of filings with various town agencies and state departments, including Conservation, Health, and Planning Departments, Massachusetts DEP, and the Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program. She collaborates closely with David Clark, attorneys, town agencies and property owners regarding complex filings with outside agencies. She is also responsible for many administrative tasks within the company, including human resources and payroll administration. Sharon skillfully oversees the daily financial operations of the business, including managing accounts payable and receivable, and utilizing the latest software to prepare reports for tax filing and financial forecasting.

 

Thomas W. Ladd (Field Technician)

A native Cape Codder and graduate of Nauset Regional High School, Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from Union College, New York. He started his career in manufacturing, specializing in composite design and fabrication. Later, he joined a Denver-based contractor for an Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) mitigation program as part of a field crew.

Upon returning to the Cape in 2014, Thomas joined Clark Engineering LLC. Not only is he responsible for all fieldwork which includes construction layout and post construction as-builts, but he is also proficient as a CAD draftsman. Thomas works closely with various contractors to assist them whether it be staking a foundation or staking an entire site for a client to view their project. He enjoys the versatility of his position, feeling at ease whether in the field or at his desk.

 

Erin L. Robsham (Administrative Assistant)

In late 2023, Erin joined the Clark Engineering LLC team, bringing with her an extensive 20-year background in customer service, with a focus on small and family-owned businesses. As a 13th generation Cape Codder, Erin has strong ties to our community. When you reach out to Clark Engineering LLC, Erin is likely to be the friendly voice on the other end of the line. She assumes a range of responsibilities, encompassing the meticulous preparation of proposals and the initiation of new projects through comprehensive research at the Registry of Deeds, Land Court Registry, and various local town agencies. Additionally, she proficiently manages the daily schedule for David Clark, maintains overall office organization to optimize performance across the entire team, and oversees website management.
